Israel Congregation of Manchester is located in Manchester Center in southwestern Vermont. About half of our members are full-time Vermonters living in the Northshire of Bennington County, as well as within a forty mile radius including the Bromley and Stratton Mountain ski areas. The other half of our members are second-home owners whose primary residences are in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts and beyond. Our total membership is about 230, including both family and individual members.
We recognize that our members come from diverse Jewish backgrounds. We strive to make all our members feel comfortable with our religious services and feel welcome as part of our community.
On Friday evenings, we gather for a communal Shabbat meal at the synagogue immediately after Kabbalat Shabbat Services. All are welcome, members and visitors alike.
We provide members with all life cycle event services, as well as pastoral counseling to youth and adults, bikor holim, conversion classes, adult education, and cultural and social activities.
Our membership dues remain low, thanks to the generosity of our donors.
Family dues are only $775 per year. Single membership dues are $400 per year. In both cases, there is a one time building fund assessment of $500, payable in as many as 3 years. Please contact our office at 802.362.4578 for further information about membership.
