Shalom!

Israel Congregation of Manchester comprises 230 member families of diverse Jewish backgrounds, both full-time and part-time residents of southern Vermont. We provide evening and morning Shabbat services every week, holiday services, a religious school, adult education, all life cycle events, and cultural, social, and educational programming, in a warm and welcoming environment.

An integral part of Jewish life in the Northshire for more than 70 years, Israel Congregation of Manchester has been at its current location on Main Street (Route 7A) since 1986. In 2003, Israel Congregation launched a capital campaign and building expansion project called Merkaz, which, in Hebrew, means "center." The campaign's success led to the recent completion of our new building, which now serves as a vibrant cultural and community resource for the southern Vermont community and beyond. In June 2007, Israel Congregation engaged Rabbi David Novak, a 2007 graduate of Hebrew Union College.

You can read an online version of our newsletter The Shofar, or call our office to receive one in the mail. Better yet, visit us, join us for services, or come to one of our upcoming events.
